EL TEIDE
De Teide is de hoogste berg van Spanje, maar het is zeker niet de enige vulkaan op Tenerife; er zijn maar liefst 300 verschillende vulkanen, waarvan verschillende kleinere zich in het nationaal park bevinden. De uitbarsting van de Puerto Viejo in1798 heeft fikse sporen nagelaten. De laatste vulkaanuitbarsting op Tenerife vond plaats in 1909 bij El Chinyero.

MASCA
De meeste mensen die Masca bezoeken komen vooral hier omdat dit dorp het startpunt is van een wandelroute door de gelijknamige Masca-kloof. Toch heeft het dorp zelf ook nog wel wat te bieden, zoals prachtige panorama’s over de verschillende delen van Tenerife, maar ook vind je er een buste bam Jose Perez González met de daar bijbehorende inscriptie.
De wandeling door de kloof brengt je langs enkele adembenemende omgevingen met een unieke flora en fauna. De wandeling duurt ongeveer 6 uur en is zeer de moeite waard.
La mayoría de personas que visitan Masca vienen aquí principalmente porque este pueblo es el punto de partida de una ruta a pie por el desfiladero de Masca del mismo nombre. Sin embargo, el pueblo en sí también tiene algo que ofrecer, como hermosas vistas panorámicas de las diferentes partes de Tenerife, pero también encontrará un busto de José Pérez González con la inscripción que lo acompaña.
El paseo por el desfiladero te lleva a través de entornos impresionantes con flora y fauna únicas. La caminata dura unas 6 horas y merece mucho la pena.
Most people who visit Masca mainly come here because this village is the starting point of a walking route through the Masca gorge of the same name. Yet the village itself also has something to offer, such as beautiful panoramas over the different parts of Tenerife, but you will also find a bust of Jose Perez González with the accompanying inscription.
The walk through the gorge takes you past some breathtaking environments with unique flora and fauna. The walk takes about 6 hours and is very worthwhile.
LOS GIGANTES
Los Gigantes en Puerto Santiago zijn met elkaar vergroeid en vormen met elkaar één van de gezelligste gebieden op Tenerife in deze reisgids. Op het kleine dorpsplein van Los Gigantes staat de kleine kerk Parroquia del Espìritu Santo. Naast de haven is het gemoedelijke strand van het dorp, het Playa de los Guíos o de Argel en op die plek beginnen ook de naamgevende rotsen, de Acantilados en Los Gigantes, de bekendste bezienswaardigheid van het gebied.
